At the PyCon 2018 conference, I presented a tutorial called “Using pandas for Better (and Worse) Data Science”. Through a series of exercises, I demonstrated best practices with pandas to help students become more fluent at using pandas to answer data science questions and avoid data science errors.
I split the tutorial into 10 videos.
2018 will be the year of the three As: AI, Automation, and Advancing analytics skills
In 2017, advanced analytics maintained its momentum in the enterprise. Open source technologies such R and Python gained ground. Other technologies such as machine learning continued to pique interest. Use of the cloud become more mainstream.
As the end of 2018 soon closes, all eyes are turning to the prospects for economic growth in 2019. As seemingly always, growth comes from the US housing market or results in reinvestment in the US housing market. In either case, we see growth in or through the US housing market. Two exciting NLP papers at ICML 2018!
ICML 2018 accepts are out, and I am excited about two papers that I will briefly outline here. I think both papers are phenomenally good and will bring back structured prediction in NLP to modern deep learning architectures.
